Update:
Last post was from a competition Maddie and I did at CrossFit Katy. Maddie and I did this competition in Dec. 2016 and it was so much fun. I really enjoyed the time we spent working out together at CrossFit Katy. Why did we stop going to CrossFit Katy? 2 reasons- Luke's Locker bankruptcy and the drive. By this time we had been living in our house a few months. On a no traffic day it would take a little over 10 minutes or so to get to CF Katy, but we all know there is always traffic on Grand Parkway, so that time was closer to 20 minutes. Also, due to the times of the classes, there was a lot of down time where I had to decide to go home and turn around and go back or stay at school and not get home til 6. Neither was an option that I liked, so I decided to leave CrossFit Katy and join the Y where I could go whenever I needed and it was much closer to the house. Still then, it wasn't a good fit for me. I enjoyed getting back to Body Pump, but Emme did not like the childcare center, so I would still have to drive to my mom's then back to the Y and that was too much. Couple all that with my hair falling out and not wanting to take a shower, along with starting a new coaching job, and let's just say I got a bit out of shape! :( It is now 2021 and I am determined to get it back.
Back in Jan. of 2019 I decided to join an online workout program called Street Parking and it has been the best decision ever. I absolutely LOVE working out and home and the flexibility it gives me. Street Parking is CrossFit based so the workouts are fairly short, but they also offer many other extra programs to do along with the main workout. The mottos for Street Parking are- More Than Nothing and Consistency is Key, both of which I live by now. Street Parking was created by 2 former CrossFit Games Competitors- Julian Alcaraz and Miranda Oldroyd.
I'm so looking forward to logging my workouts here and being able to track my growth easily!
